Director of the Macau Gaming Inspection Co-ordination Bureau (DICJ), Paulo Martins Chan, says the gaming regulator will continue to closely monitor the industry’s regulatory environment but recognizes the danger of over-regulation.
In a keynote ad-dress to launch the MGS Summit on Tuesday morning, Mr Chan extolled the virtues of the DICJ’s regulatory enforcement, stating that, “With the changing global environment, the DICJ has focused on enhancing the regulatory environment but recognizes that over regulating hinders business development.
“The DICJ is focusing on continuous enhancement of the legal framework under which the Macau gaming industry operates. The DICJ is regularly reviewing the gaming law.”
